About Clari Cantus

The youth choir Clari Cantus was founded on January 27 1990 as an equil voice choir. Ria Vanwing, the founder of the childrens choir Clari Cantuli in 1989, transformed Clari Cantus in a mixed youth choir in 1992. The members of the choir are alumni of the Clari Cantuli choir and their average age is 18 years. They rehearse once a week on Saturday from 10.15 to 12.15.

The repertoire of this choir is very diverse and includes choral music of Flemish, European and non-European composers from different style periods, from classic pieces to modern 21st century compositions.

Clari Cantus can look back on a wide range of exciting activities and concerts at home and abroad. Successful concert tours were made to Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, France, Austria, Spain and Switzerland. Clari Cantus also has good memories of musical concerts in Kaposvar (H) 1996, Vienna (A) 1997, Ochsenhausen (D) 1997, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010 Konstanz (Germany) 2002, 2004, Barcelona (E) 2003 , Mainz (D) 2006, Strasbourg (F) 2006, Basel (CH) 2007 and Vaison la Romaine (F) 2007.
